Overview
Pipfall ("we," "us," or "our") is a puzzle game developed by C. Jason Maier and distributed on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you play Pipfall on your iOS device.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not directly collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. The only data collection that occurs is performed by third-party services described in this policy, each governed by their own privacy practices.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
- Your location data (precise or approximate)
- Your Apple ID or any account credentials
- Photos, contacts, or any content from your device
- Health or fitness data
- Browsing history or activity outside the app
- Any biometric or sensitive personal identifiers
All game progress, scores, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device via our systems.
Third-Party Advertising — Google AdMob
Pipfall displays advertisements served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising platform operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use certain data from your device in order to serve ads, including interest-based or personalised advertising.
| Data Type | Purpose | Collected By |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising identifier (IDFA) | Ad personalisation & frequency capping | Google AdMob |
| IP address | Approximate geolocation for ad targeting | Google AdMob |
| Device information | Ad rendering, fraud prevention | Google AdMob |
| App interaction data | Ad performance measurement | Google AdMob |
| Your personal data (name, email, etc.) | — | Not collected |
When you first launch Pipfall, iOS will present Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt asking for your permission before AdMob can access your device's advertising identifier. You may choose to allow or deny tracking at that time. If you deny tracking, AdMob will serve non-personalised ads only and will collect less data.
In-App Purchases
Pipfall offers optional in-app purchases. All purchase transactions are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We do not see, handle, or store any payment information such as credit card numbers, billing addresses, or Apple ID credentials.
| Data Type | Handled By |
|---|---|
| Payment card details | Apple App Store |
| Billing address | Apple App Store |
| Purchase receipts & entitlements | Apple App Store |
| Apple ID | Apple App Store |
Children's Privacy
Pipfall is rated 4+ and is designed to be safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- The app does not include chat, messaging, or any social features.
- The app does not allow children to post or share any content.
- The app does not link to external websites accessible to children.
Advertising shown in Pipfall is delivered by Google AdMob. When the app is used by a child, we rely on Apple's ATT framework and AdMob's child-directed settings to ensure ads are appropriate and that data collection is limited. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 9.
Data Sharing & Disclosure
Because we do not collect personal data, we have no personal data to sell, trade, or share with third parties. The only data flows that occur are:
- Google AdMob — receives device and usage signals as described in Section 3 to serve ads.
- Apple Inc. — processes in-app purchase transactions and may collect crash or performance diagnostics if you have opted in to share analytics with app developers through iOS Settings.
We will disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or protect the safety of users or the public.
Data Retention & Security
All game data (progress, high scores, settings) is stored locally on your device and is subject to Apple's standard iOS security model, including device encryption. We have no servers storing your personal data and therefore have no data retention schedule to publish.
You can delete all locally stored game data at any time by uninstalling Pipfall from your device. If you use iCloud backup, your device's iCloud settings govern whether game data is included in backups.
Your Rights & Choices
You have the following controls available to you:
- Opt out of ad personalisation — Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable tracking for Pipfall, or disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track" globally.
- Reset your advertising identifier — Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Reset Advertising Identifier.
- Delete game data — Uninstall the app from your device to remove all locally stored game data.
- Manage purchases — Manage or cancel subscriptions and request refunds through the App Store or Apple's billing support.
- Apple app privacy report — iOS 15+ users can view an App Privacy Report under Settings → Privacy & Security to see what data domains the app contacts.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. Since we do not directly collect personal data, most of these rights (access, rectification, erasure) apply primarily to data held by Google AdMob or Apple. Please contact those services directly for such requests. You may also contact us at the address in Section 9.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice (such as a notice within the app or on this website). Your continued use of Pipfall after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
