How to Play

Carve is a sliding block puzzle game. Slide blocks to match the target shapes shown on the board. When a shape is matched, it is carved away, new blocks spawn, and you earn moves back.

• Every swipe costs one move — matches and combos refund moves
• Carve multiple shapes with a single slide to score a combo
• Rotate the entire board freely — rotations don't cost a move
• Carve a shape containing a bonus block to completely refill your move meter
• Run out of moves and the game ends

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I restore my "Remove Ads" purchase?

Open the Settings menu inside Carve and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Your purchase will be restored at no charge.

I purchased "Remove Ads" but ads are still showing.

First, try tapping Restore Purchases in the Settings menu. If ads continue to appear, force-quit the app completely and relaunch it. If the issue persists, please contact us using the email below and we will help resolve it promptly.

My game progress was lost. Can it be recovered?

Carve saves your progress locally on your device. If you deleted and reinstalled the app, or restored your device from a backup, progress may not be recoverable. We recommend keeping your device backed up regularly via iCloud or iTunes.

What are the wood ranks?

Carve tracks your skill through a ranking system based on types of wood — beginning with Balsa and progressing through increasingly rare and exotic hardwoods as your mastery grows. Ranks are earned by accumulating points across your games.

Can I choose which shape gets carved or what direction I rotate?

When you match more than one shape, the game will prioritize a combo. Otherwise, target shapes are carved from left to right. You can only rotate counter clockwise, so plan your moves carefully.

What are daily quests and streaks?

A new quest is available every day. Complete it to earn rewards. Maintaining a daily play streak and completing quests earns loot boxes containing power-ups. Quests reset at midnight local time.

What are loot boxes and power-ups?

Loot boxes are earned by advancing in rank, completing daily quests, and maintaining your daily streak. They contain power-ups that can help you during gameplay. Loot boxes are never sold — they are earned through play only.

The app crashed or isn't working correctly.

Please make sure you are running the latest version of Carve from the App Store. If problems persist, contact us with a description of the issue and what device and iOS version you are using.

Is Carve safe for children?

Yes. Carve is rated 4+ and contains no violent, adult, or inappropriate content. Ad content is restricted to family-safe (G-rated) material only. A one-time "Remove Ads" purchase is available to remove all advertising permanently.
