Neighbor Zero: Chain Reactions

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026

The short version: Neighbor Zero has no accounts and no sign-in. Your game progress stays on your device. The developer does not collect, store, or sell your personal information. The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob, which is the only third party that may process data from the app — and you control how, through Apple's tracking prompt and the in-app consent options.

Who we are

Neighbor Zero: Chain Reactions ("the app") is developed and published by C. Jason Maier ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information is handled when you use the app and the choices you have.

Information we do not collect

The app has no account system and no login. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, or any other personal information. We do not operate our own analytics, and gameplay data is never sent to servers we control.

Data stored on your device

The app saves the following information locally, on your device only, so the game works as expected:

Level progress, star ratings, and statistics
Daily puzzle completion and streak history
Settings such as sound, haptics, and notification preferences
Whether you have purchased Remove Ads

This data never leaves your device through the app, and it is deleted when you delete the app. (If you use iCloud device backups, Apple may include app data in your backup under Apple's own terms.)

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the app displays ads — occasional interstitial ads between levels and optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch for hints. Ads are served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process information from your device, such as device identifiers (like the advertising identifier), IP address, approximate general location derived from IP, and ad-interaction data.

You have direct control over this:

App Tracking Transparency: The app asks for tracking permission using Apple's standard prompt. If you decline (or have "Allow Apps to Request to Track" turned off in iOS Settings), ads are non-personalized and your identifier is not used for tracking across apps.
Consent choices: In regions where it is required (such as the EEA and UK), a consent form powered by Google's User Messaging Platform lets you choose whether personalized ads may be shown.
Remove Ads: Purchasing Remove Ads permanently removes interstitial advertising from the app.

In-app purchases

The Remove Ads purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy. Purchases can be restored on a new device through the app's settings.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules a gentle daily-puzzle reminder. These are local notifications — they are created and scheduled on your device, not sent from a server — and you can turn them off at any time in the app's settings or in iOS Settings.

Sharing your results

The daily puzzle includes a share button that opens the standard iOS share sheet with a spoiler-free summary of your result. Sharing is entirely user-initiated; nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the app, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change — for example, if a future update adds a new service — we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Meaningful changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
